Mary Jane Watson, often shortened to Mary Jane, is a Spider-Man minifigure first released in 2002. In 2014, she was redesigned to resemble her appearance in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV series.

Description[edit | edit source]

Mary Jane Waston has a total of 5 variants all of which have a different torso.

Carnival[edit | edit source]

She has the normal ponytail and reused the Studios female actress' face. She has a dark red torso with yellow arms and hands. The torso is printed with an ornate gold design in the left hand corner and a collar. She has plain dark red legs.

Casual[edit | edit source]

This variant has Hermione Granger's original hair in bright orange and the same face. She has a green torso and yellow hands. The torso is printed with a green jacket and a light under shirt that exposes some of the chest. She has navy blue legs.

Pajamas[edit | edit source]

This variant shares the same hair and face as the previous version. She has an all white body minus the yellow hands. She wears a white jacket and a pink undershirt.

Spider-Man 2[edit | edit source]

She has a darker version of her previous hairpiece. Due to the changing from yellow to flesh for licensed themes in 2004, she has a light nougat head. She is printed with a simple smile, a light blue sweater with dark blue jeans.

Ultimate Spider-Man[edit | edit source]

She has a long dark red ponytail and her face is printed with dual expressions: happy and scared . She wears a black tank top printed with feminine curves and Spider-Man's mask in the shape of a heart, with bare arms and hands. She has unprinted blue legs.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes[edit | edit source]

She is the same as her Ultimate Spider-Man appearance. She has basic attacks and no special abilities.

Background[edit | edit source]

Spider-Man Trilogy[edit | edit source]

Mary Jane Watson was in high school with Peter Parker and Harry Osborn, but later graduated. Afterwards she became Harry's girlfriend and tried to get into Broadway, which she was later successful in doing. She was later attacked by a group of thugs and saved by Spider-Man, and shared an upside down kiss. She dumped Harry, was briefly engaged to John Jameson and later went out with Peter, finding out he was Spider-Man.

She was constantly kidnapped by Peter's foes, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, New Goblin and Venom.

Ultimate Spider-Man[edit | edit source]

Mary Jane was the childhood friend of Peter and early in their high school years, they tried dating, found it awkward and decided to just stay friends. She is determined to become a journalist, particularly at the Daily Bugle Communications, to rehabilitate Spider-Man's reputation, which was blasted by J. Jonah Jameson on a daily basis. Her first attempt to get a job there was stopped by a battle with Beetle, Spider-Man and his team (Nova, Iron Fist, Power Man, and White Tiger).
