• Pohatu named the Skyblasters after an Onu-Matoran called Midak who enjoyed being out in the sunlight, an anomaly amongst his people.
• Midak Skyblasters were also used in the two largest 2009 vehicles, 8995 Thornatus V9 and 8996 Skopio XV-1 as Force Blasters.
• Midak Skyblasters have also appeared in other sets from other themes such as 7591 Construct-a-Zurg, 7160 Drop Ship, and 8864 Desert of Destruction.
