Phineas Nigellus Black is a Harry Potter minifigure who appears in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

Background[edit | edit source]

Phineas Nigellus Black was a headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and a distant relative of Sirius Black. As such, his portrait hangs in both Professor Dumbledore's office and in Sirius' house, Black's painted form able to travel between the two of them. Harry, Ron, and Hermione later removed his portrait from Grimauld Place and blindfolded Black so that he could accidentally feed them clues to what was going on at Hogwarts while hiding their location from Professor Snape. In reality, Black is well aware of what is going on and where he is, and is helping Snape to secretly assist the trio by making sure that they find Gryffindor's Sword in the Forest of Dean.
