Pilot Thompson is an Res-Q character. In LEGO Adventures! Magazine, Issue 7, his description read "Flies the powerful Res-Q emergency helicopter!" He is also known as Ariel.

In LEGO Adventures! Magazine, Issue 7, Pilot Thompson took part in a rescue mission to save civilians trapped on an oil rig about to be hit by a tidal wave.
