The Prison Dog is a playable character in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. He is similar to the playable character, Fang for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
Background[edit | edit source]
The Prison Dog was a dog who guarded the keys to the prison cells in Port Royal. He was far more intelligent than most gave him credit for. He carried the keys by a ring in his mouth.
In The Curse of the Black Pearl, prisoners in the cell next to Jack Sparrow try to get the dog to give them the keys. Sparrow shows distaste in the objective believing that the dog wouldn't come. The next day, Sparrow tries himself to taunt the dog into giving him the keys, however is unsuccessful.
In Dead Man's Chest, Pintel and Ragetti have escaped imprisonment and are arguing about who of the two should be praised for their escape before it is revealed that the dog has joined them in the boat. When the Blck Pearl is spotted on a beach, the dog swims for land. Pintel and Ragett initially belived he was making a bad decision, however are proved wrong when the tide capsises them. When the Cannibals are unsuccessfulat catcging Sparrow or the crew, they chase the Dog and make him their new chief.
In At World's End, Teague summons the dog during the meeting of the Brethren Court, as one of his keys is the one to the Pirata Codex. Pintel and Ragetti are amazed to see him. teague however justifies the situation by implying that the Dog escaped Pelegosto by sea turtles, an excuse favoured by Jack Sparrow.
