ROBOLAB is a subtheme of Mindstorms that used a combination of TECHNIC, Mindstorms and System pieces in its sets to create working models and to educate children about engineering. It was introduced in 1998, and was discontinued five years later in 2003.

Most ROBOLAB sets came in plastic boxes with instruction and idea leaflets.
