Today I'm reviewing a new set: 10684 Supermarket Case. This is one of the "suitcase" Juniors sets, unfortunately these sets are higher price because of the case. Though the case turns out to be super handy for holding minifigures/bricks/stolen money ect. This set seems to feature a variety of new pieces, including a lot of printed pieces(juniors sets don't come with stickers). Onto the review:

The Build[edit | edit source]

Minifigures[edit | edit source]

The set features two fantastic minifigures. Unfortunately there both female which signals out boys from playing with this set. I would've pre faired one of each genders so both boys and girls could relate to a character.

The clerk has the some what un common brown ponytail. She has one of the extremely common woman faces which is a downer. The torso makes up for all the faults though. It's a perfect supermarket uniform there's even a shopping basket logo! To make things better there's back printing! The clerk has plain green legs.

The customer has a long ginger ponytail, which isn't in many sets currently. She has a brand new face print! One with a smirking face and one with lavender sunglasses. She also has a brand new torso! Her torso portrays a light pink and pink striped summer halter top. The execution of this is perfect, I wouldn't change it in anyway. Again it features back printing, who doesn't love back printing?!? She wears unprinted purple pants.

Sidebuilds[edit | edit source]

There's many side builds that increase the playability of the set.

First up is the red motorbike/scooter, unfortunately this is the most common colour for the bike-red. It's weird the bike uses a flower as a headlight. Beside the bike there's a red helmet for the customer.

The cat is dark orange and adorable.

There's also a reddish brown box with a loaf of bread thrown in. Because? :P

The ice cream vendor has an azure base and a glass frame. There's two ice creams stuck on top that uses the friends ice cream swirls. Unfortunately inside the ice cream vendor it's only 1x1s rather the nice cream swirls.

There's a bakery stand on a light purple 2x4 with a tan top. Inside there's a croissant and pretzel.

I love the simplistic yet effective standing up sign, it would work in any LEGO city! Except maybe City as the minifigures there only seem to eat hotdogs.

The last build has two flowers and a light brown box with carrots/apples in it on a pink base. I love the bright yellowish green/dark green curved roof. Notably:The hind flowers is on a light brown 2x4 which only appears outside this theme in Minecraft and Classic.

The supermarket[edit | edit source]

The supermarket itself sits on the juniors base, in cool yellow. I don't understand why the juniors base has less studs then usual bases have bit oh well. The supermarket has a grey entrance way. It has a large white door frame with a glass pane and pink flower knob. Beside the door there's two large white windows. Further beside the windows there's two green 2x4s underneath a bright yellowish green 2x4 underneath a large 2x4 white shaped brick. The bulk of the roof is magenta, but the centre is curved white and bright yellowish green bricks. The sign for the supermarket looks fantastic! Again it should prove itself to be useful outside this Juniors city.

The interior of the supermarket is quite small but the builds from outside can be thrown in.

There's a stand looking in the left window on a flame yellowish orange 2x4. On it is a CEARL BOX!!!! Our first ever LEGO one to be exact. There's the friends orange juice box beside it and a green wine bottle on the other side.

To the side of the stand there's an azure based meat counter. It has a fish and wing of chicken inside. There's a large white brick that displays a ketchup bottle and the friends milk. .

The opposite side has a flame yellowish orange cupboards! There's white drawers in them and white jumper plates on top. On the fat jumper plates there's a cash register and on the close one there's a 100$ bill.

Overall this is great! But for a younger builder. I adore the cereal box but I have many of the rest of the foods, if you have most of these foods I don't see much of a reason to buy the set. Besides the printed pieces of course! There's some other useful parts as well here such as the light brown 2x4 and the flame yellowish orange bricks. Overall I give this 8/10, it's not an amazing set but certainly not bad in any shape or forum. What do you think of this set? Be sure to let me know in the comments?
