Review:2015 Mixels Frosticons/Mr. Bimple
Hello, Brickimedians. About a week or so ago I was sent the Mixels Frosticons by The LEGO CEE Team. I was asked to review them, and alas I finally have time to do so.
The Frosticons are an icy Mixels tribe which consists of Chilbo, Snoof, and Krog. Each set costs about $5 and they will be released in early June 2015.
Krog[edit | edit source]
My all together favorite of this wave is Krog. Krog is a huge mouth who likes to eat. He features barely movable legs and Exo-Force robot arms in a light blue. I believe they are exclusive. Krog has a hug jaw which can open and close. Also included is a Nixel.
Nixel[edit | edit source]
This Nixel is standard to the 2015 sets. It is the same as the one included in the Orbitrons earlier this year. He has unmovable feet, yet movable arms. His face tile is printed.
Snoof[edit | edit source]
Snoof is not the best of the bunch. Snoof is a skiing Mixel. He even has skis for his feet. However, he has a lot of open area on his neck and back. Snoof has a nice little head with a trans blue ax piece for a Mohawk. His arms are standard to Mixels, and are seen in many other sets. Snoof looks as he has ice rockets coming out of his back. (Honestly I have no clue what they are meant to be) The ice blade piece from Garmatron is reused for the rockets.
Chilbo[edit | edit source]
Chilbo reminds me of a sloth. He is the only Mixel that I know of to have ball joined eyes which is a plus. Atop his head is a crown of ice, which must make him king. He is the only Mixel of his tribe to have fingers which is very nice. I don’t prefer the overlapping design of his arms, are they just look odd. His feet are standard to Mixels.
Max[edit | edit source]
All 3 Mixels in a tribe can combine to make a Max. I have only built two Maxes, but this is my favorite. The max reminds me a bit of Hulkbuster. He has nicely build arms with flickfire missiles in the palms. His feet are huge, but it has to be that way to keep this hulk up. The head is unique and has huge fangs and an ice crown.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Build | 4 / 5 |
Playability | 4½ / 5 |
Parts | 4 / 5 |
Price | 5 / 5 |
Value | 4½ / 5 |
Overall | 4 / 5 |
These Mixels are pretty standard. They don’t really stand out as my favorite wave. If you want Mixels, or just like Mixels, I think you should get them. They are great sets. Thanks to the LEGO CEE for the sets.
