Review:70503 The Golden Dragon/Schtickman

The Set

As always, LEGO dragons are good. The set is not good nor bad overall. Dragon is well built. Main color, of course, is gold while secondary is dark green. I like those colors on the dragon, but it makes it much different from the dragon from the tv series which is pure gold. Wings are classic, but that's better because that is the best way to make dragon's wings in Ninjago. This set is a good source for some golden parts. Legs are only thing that I don't like. Design looks good but legs and claws can't move, which is really bad thing, awful.

Secondary build: a catapult. It is great. Idea of hammer that hits the catapult, and that Stone Scout jumping is what i like because it s simple but good. Only problem is that it doesnt fire well. You get a dynamite that can also be fired easier, to burn dragon's mouth!

Minifigures

Golden Ninja. Lloyd. Great design and printing, and his golden mask but he gets a Fire Sword which is very odd and dumb, because at that point in the plot Fire Sword was already melted, turned into Mega Weapon and exploded to the space. But i can't complain because you get even TWO of them in the set!

Scout. Crossbow man. Short legs are good.

Warrior. I like his hammer. You can get both stone minifigures from other sets that are much better.
