Review:76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro/Keeffe10
Today I'm reviewing a Marvel Superheroes set: 76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro. This set is a $12.99 set of the Marvel theme. I liked the previous Spider-Man set I reviewed, will this be a change? While reading keep in mind I'm a Marvel fan, so if the set isn't accurate I won't be a huge fan. Now onto my review:
- Theme: Marvel
- Pieces: 70
- Minifigures: 2
- Price: $12.99 USD

The Build[edit | edit source]
Minifigures[edit | edit source]
Hence the name, Spider-Man is this set's protagonist. His head and torso are extremely accurate, but his pants are not. First off he has always worn a suit similar to this.
This suit's top is blue and looks like he does in the comics. The legs just have blue. In fairness his legs are very useful for custom mini figures, but I'm probably the only superheroes fan interested in making a huge City. I'm pretty sure everyone would prefer accuracy, rather than the occasional lack of detail.
Wow an accurate Electro figure! LEGO did a great job with him, all his parts are exclusive! His legs are very useful on mini-figures, particularly winter related ones. My only down points on him are his hands. For some reason he has visible hands due to the transparency of his arms.
Side build[edit | edit source]
The build is small and bizarre. Really a stand for Electro? It mainly uses transparent lightning pieces, but is on a baby blue plate. At least it has useful pieces.
The trike[edit | edit source]
The second, biggest and last build is Spidey's "trike". Do we get an accurate vehicle, nope! In fairness they seem to have at least tried with the build, despite the fact that it has four wheels. The vehicle also includes two flick missiles. Also for some reason he can slightly launch off the trike by pushing down it's front. The downside is the cockpit has no studs, just tiles which is disappointing, and for some reason there are little steps on the sides. Parts here are very nice and the back wheel things are near exclusive! Not very many of the pieces are rare though.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Build/Design | 2 / 5 |
Playability | 3 / 5 |
Parts | 2 / 5 |
Price | 2 / 5 |
Overall | 2 / 5 |
Overall, this is an okay set, but very flawed. In terms of accuracy it is awful, particularly the four wheels. But there are still good things to the set: Electro is amazing in terms of accuracy. The parts are great too! All these rare parts. The price is bad though, if you want a set based off The Amazing Spider-Man 2, I'd make my own. But if you want a good enough set I'd buy this on sale, and I'd totally recommend it for about $9. I paid $12.99 for it. This is the worst of the Ultimate Spider-Man sets, in terms of pieces for it's price, if you are looking to buy just one from that theme.
Anyways, thanks for reading my review! I hope you liked it!
