Background[edit | edit source]

Skinnet is a nomad. He is the negotiator between the crocs and the lions. Like real-world skunks, he can emit a foul stench. Though other animals like him, they don't care to spend too much time with him because of this stench.[1]

When Rogon, Laval, Gorzan, Worriz, Cragger, Eris, and he were playing hide and seek, Skinnet sent up a big cloud of fumes, forcing Worriz to reveal himself. ("The Legend of Chima")

At the next Chi-day, Skinnet was in the market releasing his stench, causing everyone to runaway and the Ravens to sell nose plugs and raising the price when he gets closer. He is then seen in the race for the Golden Chi in dead last till he uses his fumes as a turbo boost and gets first, leaving everyone else choking. He then gets stuck in some sand and tries to escape with his stench, but causes a new trap for the remaining racers. ("Market Day")

Skinnet competed in the race wherein Furty caused mayhem, but his speedor slipped on the gorilla's banana peels and crashed. ("Foxtrot")

When the wolves captured the crocodile tribe, the other Chima tribes appointed Skinnet as their lookout to see if the wolves were mistreating their prisoners. ("Crocodile Tears")

In Laval in Exile it's mentioned that he has been to the Outlands before. When he eats the toxic sap from the Outlands it makes him act goofy. Laval uses this to distract the Crocodile tribe.

Skinnet was present at the first Chi-day following the defeat of the Crawlers. While there, he and Plovar attempted to use his smell to create a bubble spa, but the only two customers that used it were Wonald (who fell into it after being ejected from the Raven's replica legend beast) and Eris (who believed she was on fire). He later attended Laval's bonfire at the Forever Rock, but left early and journeyed to The Fangs where he was the first to witness snow rising as the Hunters ascended. ("Fire Dreaming")

When Laval summoned the Chima heroes to help defend the Crescent, Skinnet mistook the call to include himself and hurried to the battleground. However he released his stench, causing the heroes to flee out of the safety of the hill's shield. ("The Crescent")

While the Hunters were searching for the phoenix child Flinx, they mistook a patch of dead trees as being burned by the phoenix child and snuck up to grab him, but it was in fact Skinnet, whose stench caused the Hunters to retreat. ("Cool and Collected")

In Laval's Journey[edit | edit source]

Skinnet can be found in in the hub at the Crocodile Swamp where he asks Laval for the ingredients for his cologne.

LEGO.com Descriptions[edit | edit source]

Red2x2.png This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it. Skinnet

Skinnet is one of the most reliable elements of comic relief in CHIMA. Nothing ever goes right for this bumbling skunk. His tribe has vanished. His mightiest weapon is a foul odor... that accidentally slips out at all the wrong times. And even his name, Skinnet, implies a less-than-prosperous purpose. Yet Skinnet never lets the world bring him down. He always tries to tag along, or be part of the latest happening. Inevitably his presence backfires – or, more appropriately, “stink-fires.” But he is always quick to apologize when this happens.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • In the TV series Skinnet has short legs, while in the sets he has normal sized legs.
  • Like Furty, Skinnet's tail is attached at the neck. They are the same mould, but different in colour. Because it attaches to their necks, they cannot wear armour unless you take it off.
