Miles Morales is an upholder of the Spider-Man mantle and is a minifigure released in 2015.
Background[edit | edit source]
Miles Morales is bitten by a radioactive spider created by Oscorp to recreate the same spider that gave Peter Parker his powers. He gains similar powers to Peter, though there are differences, Miles is able to camouflage to his surroundings and his Spider-Sense is not as strong, only warning him of danger when he is face to face with it. He does not initially want to be a super hero and instead wanted a normal life. He witnesses the Green Goblin fight and kill Spider-Man. Guilt ridden of being able to save Peter but choosing not too, he confides in Gwen Stacy, who tells him of Peter's beliefs and morals, leading to Miles to take up the mantle of Spider-Man, using a costume similar to Peter's and his old web shooters given to Miles by Aunt May, which most civilians reject as an insult to Peter's memory. Miles was caught by Spider-Woman and brought before S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury and help stop a breakout by Electro. Fury later gives Morales a red and black costume and new shooter, "officially" becoming the new Spider-Man. He is also trained by a reluctant Captain America.

LEGO.com description[edit | edit source]
This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it. (visit this item's product page) Miles Morales is a 13-year-old boy (almost 14!) who has powers similar to Spider-Man. Miles lives in an alternate world in which the original Spider-Man sacrificed his life to save the planet. Using his newfound spider-powers and Peter Parker as his inspiration, he has taken on the mantle of Spider-Man to prove that with great power comes great responsibility.
