Super suits

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki

Super suits are costumes which appear in the LEGO Batman series of games, first appearing in 2008's LEGO Batman: The Videogame. The suits are unlocked through each games story mode and give extra gadgets and abilities to the characters who are able to use them.

The following is a list of suits Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing and Robin can use in LEGO Batman: The Video Game. These are unlocked at various levels in the Hero storyline, and are used to solve puzzles, acquire minikits and power bricks, and many other things. They have upgrades that can be purchased in Wayne Manor or Arkham Asylum. Some suit abilities can also be found naturally in villains.

LEGO Batman: The Video Game[edit | edit source]

There are two sets of suits, those used by Batman and Batgirl, and those used by Robin and Nightwing. Suits are used by walking through a signal which can be found in game levels and the Batcave hub. Upgrades for some suits can be purchased on the Batcomputer.

Batman/Batgirl suits
  • Heat Suit: Allows user to walk on and manipulate flaming objects. Upgrade grants flaming Batarangs.
  • Glide Suit: Allows user to glide for a short period of time. Upgrade allows for a downward attack called a ground pound.
  • Sonic Suit: The user can now emit a sonic blast to shatter glass bricks through resonance. Upgrades grant an area effect of the sonic blast, bats which hover around the sonic waves, and the ability to knock back enemies affected by the sonic blast (sonic pain).
  • Demolition Suit: The user can plant Bat-bombs to destroy metallic objects or hurt enemies. Upgrades allow this suit to deflect bullets and an increase in number of bombs which can be planted.
Robin/Nightwing suits
  • Magnetic Suit: The user can now walk up metallic walls or walkways. Upgrade allows for an increase in magnetic walking speed.
  • Attractor Suit: The backpack on this suit sucks up small red, yellow, and green pieces, which can be fed into machines which then produce items. Upgrades can locate pieces within range of the suit and increase the vacuum speed.
  • Tech Suit: The user can interface with Tech Panels, which control various devices, such as cars and helicopters. Upgrade allows this suit, when not in use, to produce a fake duplicate of itself, which enemies will attack, the decoy is not permanent and will explode after a couple seconds.
  • Dive Suit: The user now sinks in water, allowing them to activate switches and collect studs and minikits. Upgrade causes the suit's Batarangs to freeze their targets.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes[edit | edit source]

In LEGO Batman 2, only Batman and Robin are able to use super suits. Nightwing and Damian Wayne, who are playable by DLC, are treated as variants of the regular Robin and turn into that Robin in a super suit when they walk through a signal. Suits can again be accessed in levels and the open-world Gotham City hub, but they may not be upgraded.

Batman suits
  • Power Suit: Batman is given super strength and is able to launch missiles from his backpack.
  • Sensor Suit: Batman is able to turn invisible and use X-ray vision to solve puzzles.
  • Electricity Suit: Grants immunity to electricity and allows Batman to safely contain or transfer a charge.
  • Bat Suit: Gives gliding wings and a sonic gun which can destroy glass or disable enemies.
Robin suits
  • Acrobat Suit: Gives the user a bo-staff which can be thrown into pole sockets and allows the user to double-jump, swing, and transform into a ball.
  • Hazard Suit: Grants immunity to hazardous material and provides a tank and hose for collecting and dispersing water or waste.
  • Magnet Suit: Allows Robin to walk on magnetic surfaces and interact with other magnets.
  • Ice Suit: Robin is immune to cold temperatures and receives an ice gun to freeze water or launch an ice-ball into targets.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham[edit | edit source]

In addition to Batman and Robin, Cyborg, The Joker, and Lex Luthor each have their own suits. Suits are unlocked in-story via collectible tokens, and may be accessed any time after they have been found, rather than having to search for a suit signal. Batgirl and Nightwing are playable, but cannot use Batman or Robin's suits. The other variants of Batman, Robin, Joker, and Lex do not have access to the super suits.

All versions of Robin in this game can perform acrobatics, all versions of Cyborg can interact with tech panels, and all versions of Joker are immune to toxins, abilities which were exclusive to a single super suit in previous games among characters who could use them. Unless otherwise noted, all versions of Batman are also able to glide.
