Subtheme

This isn't a Castle subtheme. Why would it be? Yes its got castles in and hits some the same beats in terms of styling and stuff, but that doesn't make it an actual subtheme, in an "official" term (and I say "official" because its hard to say what is official, but at the same time we removed sub themes in the past for being unofficial.) A subtheme is something like the Star Wars themes, where it is clear that while the sets have different themes (The movies), they are marketed and branded in the same way (they are all clearly Star Wars sets). Kingdoms is castle-themed, but not a Castle theme. It is its own theme.

I post there here expecting some sort of backlash, because Brickset call it a Castle subtheme, but they are using theme in a different sense to how we purport to use it. Neither this nor Castle 2007 are Castle subthemes, just as City isn't a Town subtheme (because they both have police and firemen) and Star Wars isn't a Space subtheme (because they share spaceships) and Ninjago isn't a subtheme of Ninja.
