Talk:Release Schedule
From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki
Just wondering- when's the board starting up again? (in open beta?) NovaHawk 20:09, 19 October 2013 (EDT)
- Ideally at open beta, assuming they all rejoin. If they have not all joined by March, new elections will be held to fill the empty seats. --ToaMeiko (talk) 20:31, 19 October 2013 (EDT)
- er, I can't import all of
brickimedia'sbrickiPedia's images in a day. I haven't even re-written the script yet, but last time I think brickipedia took getting on for a week. Sorry :P UltrasonicNXT (talk)- though saying that, I have just found a pywiki script that will do almost all of it for me, so it will be quicker and better than last time. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- well it's finished, and much better than last time, so I possibly can upload them all in a day now :) UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- The reason I suggested it be done in several days is to sort out various issues in the case any come up. I already know two issues with imports last time, one of which was any special characters (Accent marks, etc) wouldn't be in the file name. Another issue I saw was that after we imported LMBW's images, when we imported the Bricki images after, all the LMBW files that had the same file name as a Bricki image were overwritten. --ToaMeiko (talk) 08:45, 22 October 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah good plan, but it had the entire of brickipedia's images in one day :P UltrasonicNXT (talk)

- When is the content being imported? UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- I'm not sure, I was going to go around asking the wiki admins that, but haven't yet. I'd say sometime in month one of open beta, but really its up to the local admins on each project. I will be posting a big informative blog for everyone at the start of open beta, which will highlight the things that local admins and users need to do. --ToaMeiko (talk) 11:53, 22 October 2013 (EDT)
- (in regards to December 2) Why do we want anonymous editors to be able to conribute to meta? Since meta's pretty much only for image uploads (which only registered users can do) and global policy discussions (where people will only pay attention to you if you have an account). Doesn't that mean the only other thing an anon can do on the meta wiki is be a spambot/vandalise? NovaHawk 02:52, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
- well I guess some of them will sign up on meta, but yes, there isn't much for them to do here... Maybe ask questions on user talk pages and the likes? UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- They can also contribute to the help pages, tutorials, discussions, etc. Keep in mind the Brickimedia Meta is much like that of Wikimedia Meta, so there is much more than just uploading images. --ToaMeiko (talk) 14:40, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
- The en and customs import both come from lego.wikia, so I will have to do them all at once. Merging. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
