The Thing is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure that appears in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.
Description[edit | edit source]
- Regular
Thing has a similar mold to The Hulk with a few differences: he is orange and covered with a rocky pattern and has a rounded bald head with molded eyebrows. Also, Thing has blue trousers with the Fantastic Four's insignia in the center and a thick black line around the waistband.
- Future Foundation
This variant of the character has the same rocky, orange head and arms, but multiple differences. A white uniform is present, including a black belt, white, lined trousers, white boots, and a black-outlined, sleeveless shirt with the Future Foundation insignia in the middle.
In LEGO Marvel Superheroes[edit | edit source]
The Thing can jump high like all Big Figures (except Hulkbuster) he can pull green handles and can punch through certain walls with glowing cracks, he is one of many big figures that cannot transform. You can unlock the regular thing after completing level 9 "Doctor in the House" His Future Foundation version can be unlocked by collecting his token in the bonus mission "Reptilian Ruckus" during free play.
Background[edit | edit source]
The Thing, or Ben Grimm, is a member of the Fantastic Four (which also includes Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch). he has fought Galactus and his servant, the Silver Surfer, and the Four's archenemy Dr. Doom. Along with the other three, Ben was exposed to cosmic radiation. This exposure replaced his skin with a thick and rocky orange hide. Along with this, the Thing also has superhuman strength and stamina, allowing him to fight even the strongest of enemies.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes[edit | edit source]
The Thing is one of the heroes that Nick Fury called upon to stop Galactus, Dr. Doom, Loki and the team they assembled.
