Hi everyone!

If you didn't know, today is a special day for all Brickipedians— it marks the eighth year since Brickipedia was established. 8 years ago as of today (29 January 2014), Brickipedia was established as a small, unorganised LEGO wiki on Wikia (then called "Wikicities") by Darth smith. Today, Brickipedia holds the title as the largest online LEGO encyclopedia, hosted here at Brickimedia.

In celebration of this day, I want to open the comments below for us all to share our favourite memories of Brickipedia from the past years.

A bit late, but:

The best memories is... Joining the wiki, that I got many friends (Korp, Cyborg, Kahuka, etc.), editing, getting Chatmod rights, getting on 'Media, and much more! :D

Happy birthday Brickipedia!

Best moments... hmm... I guess I can't really think of any singular best moments. I remember how fun it was starting out with two other users and a whole lot of work to do- going around creating heaps of articles and developing new templates was fun. I don't know about CJC, but I don't think either of us expected the place to get as big as it has- at that time we were just building the wiki up because it was something to do. Seeing the community grow over the years and get to what we are today is a bit of a highlight in itself.

I guess another highlight is moving over to Brickimedia- not because of the whole anti-Wikia thing (if we didn't have Wikia, this site probably wouldn't exist) but because we're now the ones in complete control, and we choose exactly how we want everything to run. Towards the time around the crash last time, after a bit of a shaky start, we finally got to a point where we had a good number of users who were pretty much all getting along and we had decent levels of editing- something I hasn't really seen since the "golden age" of 2008/2009. Hopefully, we'll get to this point again and get even better, giving people a whole new set of favourite memories of Brickipedia :)

Favorite memories?

The original outputs of Boup and Blobism, Knight's fake Chima teaser, getting adminship, and possibly more if I think of them.

I hope April 1st of this year will be memorable too.

Favourite memories? :P It felt good when I was getting a bunch of stuff to C3 and C2 for a while; I'd love to start that again once I have more time, though I really, really need to start narrowing down some of my goals. :P Anyway, Happy Birthday Brickipedia! :D

i remember when i posted my first forum called Blacktron 3, luckily i was wrong. :P

i also remember my first page called Night Lord believing some custom image with the code having that name in it was real. I was wrong and the page was deleted, now, i make night lord appear in some of my RPs... occasionally he's my OWN fictional figure.

i also remember the first time i got on chat, that was the time i also first met shlomo and we became friends... i typically have many memories. :P

and also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WIKI FILLED WITH ADMINS STRUGGLING TO REMOVE MY ANGER ISSUES! :D (p.s. i hope you guys fix my dang issues. :S)
