User blog:ToaMeiko/Official Support from the LEGO Group

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki
9

Hi everyone,

A few months back, probably when we were all at Wikia, I announced I was working with the LEGO Group to have Brickipedia be officially supported by the LEGO Group. Today I can announce that we have been offered to become a part of the 2014 support package from the LEGO Group and will be evaluated for the 2015 support package as well. What this means is that, if our community needs, the LEGO Group will offer us new sets to review and/or provide as contest prizes.

Update 31 May 2014: There is one condition I forgot to mention: we cannot by any means upload confidential images to this wiki (e.g. preliminaries). This is already a policy that we've had in place for several years, but I cannot stress it enough that this rule must be complied with or we will face risk of immediate termination of the LEGO Group's support. Thanks for your understanding and compliance with this policy.

If you have any questions or comments about this, please leave them below.

Best regards,
ToaMeiko (talk) 22:00, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

@update- no big deal, we always delete prelims as soon as we see them and warn the offender anyway.

Yesss!

Can't wait for this. Reviews should be fun too, but who will review the sets?

All the sets will be shipped to my address unless I specify otherwise since my address is the one that LEGO has, but occasionally there may be sets I'll send to other users to review if they want.

Nice.

Of course, this means the site will actually need, like, activity or something. Still, baby steps.

For that we'd need, like, active users or something :)
