User blog:Toa Aquinus/Featured Cuusoo project: Disney Princess Frozen: Elsa's Ice Palace
NOTE: I DID NOT CREATE THIS PROJECT!
So, I want to feature a Cuusoo project that have spotted my heart: Disney Princess Frozen: Elsa's Ice Palace.
I was searching for "LEGO Disney Princess Frozen" on google. Pictures. Scroll. And then I saw it. It had soul. The colours were just amazing. I clicked on the image, and saw that it was a Cuusoo project. It was one of the best Cuusoo projects I've ever seen. And to be clear: This is based off of my country. :P
I thought this was short, so I will make it a bit longer:
Frozen's story
" Frozen is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 53rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen, and featuring the voices of Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), Josh Gad (Olaf), and Santino Fontana (Hans), the film tells the story of a fearless princess who sets off on an epic journey alongside a rugged, thrill-seeking mountain man, his loyal pet reindeer, and a hapless snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.
The film underwent several story treatments for several years, before being commissioned in 2011, with a screenplay written by Jennifer Lee, and both Chris Buck and Lee serving as directors. Christophe Beck, who had worked on Disney's award-winning short Paperman, was hired to compose the film's orchestral score, while husband-and-wife songwriting team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez penned the songs.
Frozen premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on November 19, 2013, and went into general release on November 27. The film has so far grossed over $1 billion in worldwide box office revenue, $389 million of which has been earned in the United States and Canada. It was met with widespread critical acclaim, with several film critics considering it to be the best Disney animated musical since the studio's renaissance era. The film won two Academy Awards, for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go"), the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film, five Annie Awards (including Best Animated Feature), and two Critics' Choice Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go"). The Project
" Hello,
Welcome to my Lego Cuusoo project submission of Disney's Frozen: Elsa's Ice Palace! My family and I are extreme Lego fans and when the Lego Disney Princess line of new sets that came out this past January were released, the first question my daughter had was "Do they have a Frozen set with Elsa?". We quickly discovered to our surprise that Lego did not create one although I had to buy every single Disney Princess set that they did make for my daughter because they were awesome! As a couple weeks went by, I really felt that this was a missed opportunity by Lego and I really wanted to make my daughter's favorite part of the whole movie-The Ice Palace! I knew I couldn't cut corners, chince or go half way on this...it had to be awesome. "

Three words: Brilliant. Creative. Wonderful. Even though I'm a boy, I felt in love with this project because of the details.
Colours: Trans Blue. My fav LEGO colour. Matching the movie.
Creativity: Lots of creativity put into it. Ice bed!
Building: The technique is great. Great Ice Palace construction. Marshmallow looks great. Olaf looks sweet and funny.
