User profile editing issues[edit source]

@CJC: Hi, how do edit your user profile page. It says that you can only edit/create it when you have made at least five edits. I have done seven. Could you help me? GeekyGirl (talk) 10:25, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi GeekyGirl - does Special:UpdateProfile let you in? CJC (talk) 23:01, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
@CJC: Hi, it didn't let me in for some time. I have not checked since. GeekyGirl (talk) 13:51, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Reverting[edit source]

Hello, Please look at revisions to content using the page history before you revert them for having a "Removing content without a valid enough reason". MasterAS's revision removed a notice template for sets that are yet to be released, on a page for a set released in 2017. His summary of "Set's been released for 2 years now." is sufficient enough when you consider the rather small but important change he made to the 41594 Captain Armando Salazar article. -- Lewis Cawte (Talk) 14:36, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

@Lcawte: Thanks for letting me know! I am just cautious and sensitive of vandalism on this wiki. I have tried requesting for adminship for future spam. It also appears that you have a bot.GeekyGirl (talk) 14:40, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
Not to worry. Just be more careful next time, there are vandals here occasionally, but we don't want to scare off people just trying to help! And welcome to Brickipedia, if you need anything, let me know. --Lewis Cawte (talk) ShoutWiki Staff 14:49, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
@Lcawte: It appears that your goal is to become an admin, that is my goal also! :-) GeekyGirl (talk) 14:52, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Cleanups[edit source]

Hey, just thought I'd give some feedback on your "cleanups" - so we'll use the 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty article as an example. In your revision, Special:Diff/1394940, you remove {{Piratesets}} which is a navigation box to all of the pirate-based sets released. The navigation boxes are there to aid people looking for similar articles, for example, theme collectors. They also help drive more search engine index bot traffic around the site. You also do not have to explicitly add the categories that are already added by templates, it creates more work for the software, and they're added automatically based on the infobox fields. Whitespace in section headings is there for readability, and will just be re-added by a bot if you remove it.

While I'm not specifically an admin at Brickipedia, I am on the staff team of the company that hosts Brickipedia (which is why I have access to things like the delete and block tools), and this was one of the first wikis I started editing before this, around 10 years ago. I'm not going to edit war with you, and I'll assume good faith as you're new to Brickipedia. If writing or improving the content of articles isn't something you're particularly interested in yet, there are plenty of maintenance like tasks you can help with! --Lewis Cawte (talk) ShoutWiki Staff 15:18, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

@Lcawte: Show me! GeekyGirl (talk) 15:27, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
@Lcawte: Can I become an admin? I already know how to use the admin tools, because I have owned wikis myself. GeekyGirl (talk) 15:25, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
