Re:Pirate templates

• Well, we've already got {{Piratessets}}, I've added the 2015 sets to the template and added the template to the pages. I'll fix the template up later so that it only shows stuff in a certain year and is collapsible (don't have time to do it right now, sorry). What other templates did you think needed to be made? That's the only one I can think of :S (and you could do with a link in your sig :P) NovaHawk (talk) 12:39, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
  • (I didn't mean change your sig :D I can take a look at adding a link that doesn't have a bad-looking underline sometime if you like, it's up to you). The conventions for unlicensed, unnamed minifigs are... annoying and confusing on here. I think at the moment, we're meant to have one page for each "thing" (see Police Officer, which is obviously very incomplete, it should probably have at least 50 more variants on there). Which means every single Pirate since 1989 should be on Pirate, instead of just one random guy. But I've seen some things with their own variants, and I know I grouped the soccer/football figures by their team, eg Red Team Player, which is sort of in between the two ideas. If it was up to me, I'd do either of the things you suggested, personally either way works fine for me, and I doubt anyone's going to care too much, if they do, we can always discuss it. So I'll leave it up to you to decide which way you think is better :P I'll make up a template, just put {{PiratesFigs/2015}} at the bottom of the pages, and feel free to fill it out with any other pages you make :) NovaHawk (talk) 13:29, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

2. Appeal to the human psyche A mascot's personality can distinguish a brand. I.e. The Mack Trucks bulldog mascot evokes toughness and strength. I think an owl would represent us as they are hardworking, versitile, and full of information

3. Build brand recognition of a product Generate goodwill for the brand Act as an ambassador for the brand by providing a voice for the company's social conscience Can act as a rallying icon for community identification (for example, baseball fans doing the "Tomahawk Chop") Create a more memorable marketing hook for promotional campaigns

4. Serve as the vehicle to quickly remind readers/editors who you are and what you stand for They create the necessary positive image need for a message campaign to be a success

5. Attract new potential readers/editors to learn more about your site
