Regarding false claims and accusations on LEGO Message Boards Wiki[edit source]

Hi ZXSpidermanXZ. Edward Nigma sent me a few logs from LEGO Message Boards Wiki chat and some things I saw concerned me. Here are a few incidents where you seem to be the lead person making false claims:

I don't see why you can make this sort of claim when I've barely interacted with you.

What? I've never helped Ed troll anywhere. Where did you get that idea? And personal information? Where would I even have access to that? I don't have any personal information regarding Avalair, nor would I give it out if I had access to it.

Viewing Special:Log/privatechat is a right restricted to functionaries here. It is a very restricted permission that is not freely given out to anyone. The only times in which this log is used is when abuse is reported. Such an example would be if someone reported a user of soliciting another user in private message. Functionaries would then have access to view this log to investigate this abuse. This log is never used for other reasons, and doing so would constitute abuse of rights and immediate removal of user rights.

Not at all. I hold no authority on Brickimedia, nor do I financially or technically operate it.

Again, viewing private messages without reason constitutes abuse of rights and does not occur here. Frankly, Wikia's chat connect log is abused and personal information is gathered from that more often than the private chat log here is.

It's not anyone's personal playground. It's a comprehensive database of LEGO products. BP:About

I am not "staff" on Brickimedia (we have no such thing) and I have yet to knowingly abuse any rights I hold. If you have any instances where I've abused my rights, please list them and I will willingly remove those rights from myself. You're also welcome to start a forum about it.

I never gave him the unban script. Nigma had that script longer than I've known him and longer than I've even had a Wikia account. I was not involved with any of that and such claims are not appreciated.

So can Wikia and several of LMBW's users? And unlike Wikia, there actually has to be a justifiable reason for checking IPs here. If there isn't a valid reason, we revoke user's ability to do that. This is why it's one of the most trusted user groups on the wiki. We have other users that patrol the usage of these rights, and there is no tolerance for abuse of it. Please see BP:CheckUser policy. Any time someone checks a user's IPs here, it's logged for accountability at Special:CheckUserLog. At Wikia, there is the ability to view IPs without any log that they were viewed. People could abuse those rights at any time and see your IPs at LMBW, and nobody would know. That isn't a possibility here, and if I (or anyone) did that, we'd have our rights removed immediately.

I've never even seen any LMBW user's IP address. You can ask any local functionary/CheckUser here to view the log, and the only IP checks I've ever performed were on myself or on spam bot accounts. I don't have access to view IPs on Wikia, so between these two sites there is no way that I could have viewed any LMBW user's IP address nor done anything untrustworthy with it.
