Waikiru is a BIONICLE alternate model first appeared in 2002. It can be built with the pieces of 8560 Pahrak, the instructions were once available on LEGO.com in the "Buildits" section.
History[edit | edit source]
The Waikiru species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
On Metru Nui, Waikiru could be found along the Ga-Metru shoreline. Following the Great Cataclysm, a group of Waikiru migrated to the newly-formed island of Mata Nui, where they established a colony in the Ga-Wahi region. This population returned to the Matoran Universe after the Bohrok swarms were unleashed to cleanse the island.
Abilties and Traits[edit | edit source]
The agility of Waikiru when swimming is in sharp contrast to their slow and awkward movement on land. They use their tusks to defend themselves from threats such as Takea when escape by swimming is not an option. If treated with care they are gentle towards Matoran, but if threatened they may charge, posing a formidable danger.
