75904 Mystery Mansion is a Scooby-Doo set released in August 2015. It includes a large central tower topped with a clock face, a green house on the left and a small section of the building on the right which holds the kitchen and a safe. Six minifigures are included, Daphne Blake, Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Black Knight, Vampire, and the Phantom. Also included is a standing version of Scooby-Doo and a man-eating plant named Flytrap Lily.

Description[edit | edit source]

An azure motorcycle is included, and connected to it is a sidecar with a grey TECHNIC pin. The sidecar has an azure base and wheel guard for the single wheel. It has a lime coloured top, which is curved at the front. There is a transparent windshield at the front and a brown backpack at the back.

The greenhouse is built upon a brown baseplate. The bottom of the greenhouse is built with grey palisade bricks. The left side has two bricks that hold TECHNIC pins, which connect the greenhouse to the clock tower. There are various brown windows looking into the building, two of which have pictures of Pumpkin Monsters. At the end of each of the rows of windows there are brown 1x1x5 bricks. Instead of brown windows, a pumpkin facing outwards is present between the first set of windows and third set. There is a brown plate beneath the pumpkin, with grass and a grey palisade brick below that. The right side has a large transparent panel piece and a 1x1x5 brown piece. The left side holds a medium lilac door, with windows to it's right. A tree is growing out of the building to the left of the door. The tree has a swampy bright green leaf. Above the door is a black light which is connected to a grey piece. The door has a curved brown plate facing it. It has a black fence above grey bricks at the end of it. At the end of each of the sides is a large brown arch. It has windows beside it and purple slope pieces going up the sides. The right side has more bricks that hold TECHNIC pins, further connecting it to the clock tower. The top of the arch has bricks with TECHNIC pins that face inwards.

The interior of the greenhouse

Above the pins is a purple cone that holds a curved black spiked piece. The pins hold a large row of brown windows. Two of the windows are broken and two have bugs on them. The row of windows has two small fence panels above it. The inside of the building holds a pumpkin and a bone in the right corner. The left side has four bright green flat pieces surrounding a yellow 2x2 plate, this area is used to perch Flytrap Lily. The front of the inside holds a long bright green plate.

The entrance is also built over a brown baseplate. It has grey bricks with TECHNIC pins at the sides. These pins connect to two TECHNIC bricks which are separated by a brown "A" shaped plate. Light grey panel pieces are placed over the studs on the "A" shaped plate. The end TECHNIC bricks have hollow holes, where the TECHNIC pins from the other structures connect. In between the front of the first TECHNIC bricks there is a grey panel piece facing inwards. Behind the grey panel piece there is a hollow area where two gold keys are hidden. Brown plates are loosely placed above the area and are intended to be taken off. The front of the area is built upon secure brown plates. Grey palisade and light grey pieces make up the sides of the front. Light grey pieces with hollow holes hold TECHNIC pins. These pins hold grey pillars and give them a crooked look. A purple door sits between, and the three structures are connected by a brown plate. In front of the door is a small grey staircase built above a brown curved plate. Light grey panel pieces lie to the back sides of the door. The right corner above the door holds a TECHNIC pin with hollow hole. There is a brown cylinder piece that connects to a TECHNIC pin. The TECHNIC pin goes through another set of TECHNIC bricks. Two halves of a silver spiked ball sits at the end of the bricks. The ball is intended to be swung up and down. The TECHNIC bricks are connected to a brown cylinder and TECHNIC pin at the other side too. There are light grey 2x2 bricks placed above the pieces and they lead up to a large grey arch piece, which connects the side together. Above the door there are light grey bricks in the front corners, and a black panel at either side. A long light grey piece goes over the brick at the front. There are black tiles placed above the bricks excluding the panel pieces. Light grey bricks go over the plates. Two of the bricks have studs on their side. The studs face inwards and holds a picture of the Prospector. Grey and light grey pieces surround the picture, with two grey pieces facing outwards holding a TECHNIC pin each. A structure of a purple roof with hollow grey brick in between connects to the pin. There is a lantern over the hollow circle, and the roof is placed at a tilted position. A transparent panel piece with broken window frame lays above the frame, with two brown arch pieces beside the window. At the end of the arch is a brown plate which connects them to each other and to the window. Behind the window there is a light grey arch which connects the bricks to the back. Black plates are placed above the pieces.

The Vampire at the clock tower

The clock tower sits over the entrance and is built on a brown baseplate with grey bricks at the side. Pillars go in the corners in front of the grey bricks, and light grey panels and 1x1x2 pieces go behind the pillars. The panels and pillars have brown plates on top. In front of the 1x2x5 pieces there are black slopes which fall onto curved balcony pieces. The balcony pieces lie on grey plates which are upon curved brown plates. A short panel piece with a 1x4 black plate connects both balconies together. There are also black shorter panels above the plates. Dark grey arches are at the end of the black panels and they connect both sides together, while brown plates sit at the beginning of the arches. Dark grey plates take up most of the space besides the red carpet. In the centre of the carpet is a black turntable. A stack of light grey piece occupies the turntable. One side of the bricks holds a bat, while the other holds a sloped purple piece. The piece on the top of the stack of bricks has a hollow hole. A brown cylinder piece and grey cylinder plate with hole are placed on top. These hollow bricks allow the TECHNIC pin above them turn them. There is a light grey 4x4 TECHNIC piece that is almost completely hollow, except for the sides. Multiple TECHNIC pins go in to the hollow piece; one at the front, one at the back and one from the top. All these pins are moved by a brown cylinder piece at the end of the back TECHNIC pin, and a large circular clock with an orange hand is connected to the pin at the front. Like the stack of plates, the clock moves once the brown cylinder piece is turned. The clock has cylinder plates with every third hour in Roman numerals, and in between the plates there is a purple stud. Another set of black panels and large grey arches are placed above the clock, and there is also a bright green plant falling from the left side. The roof is placed above these pieces, and is large, triangular and purple. The left side has a large cylinder black piece while the right side has a textured light grey piece. The inside of the roof holds a coffin between grey slope pieces.

The kitchen is built upon a brown baseplate. Part of the baseplate at the front is not covered. The bottom has various palisade grey bricks, and there are light grey pieces above these bricks. Two transparent windows with black crooked frames are placed over the pieces, while various light grey pieces surround the windows. Two of the bricks have studs on the side and holds a brown plank across each of the windows, while the windows themselves each have a purple slope over them. Embedded into the bricks on the right side is a tree with dark green leaves. The left side has hollow bricks with TECHNIC pins that connects the kitchen to the entrance. There is a large brown arch at the back of the kitchen which connects both of the walks together. In front of the window on the right side is a black panel piece with a skull placed on it. The inside features a light blue and white tiled kitchen floor. There are various white structures; a sink with light grey tap, a cabinet with a hamburger on top and an oven and stove that has a pot on it. A rat is also roaming around in the kitchen.

The gang split up in the right building

Above the kitchen is an area where the owner of the mansion keeps their safe. At the front there is a small section with brown arches facing the front. There is a transparent window with black crooked fame in between the arches, while cornered purple roof pieces are placed above the window and arches. A black cylinder is placed above this structure. The sides of the building have purple slope pieces at the front. Behind the slopes there are transparent windows with black crooked frames. Above the windows there are purple slope pieces held to light grey bricks with studs on the side. Two of the bricks hold TECHNIC pins that face inwards which hold a collection of purple plates. The plates have a hollow area for the windows and arches section to peek through. There are various black sloped plates on the roof. A chimney sits in the top right corner. The chimney is built upon a hinge piece and consists of a black cone and light grey textured brick. Like the kitchen, a large brown arch holds both of the walls together and above the arch is a long brown plate. The ends of the plate are occupied by purple slopes and the centre has a 2x2 light grey piece with multiple black cone shaped pieces on top. Fencing is present between the slopes and the cones. The inside features a light grey chest with sand green door and legs. The chest has a bar over it with a 1x1 tile with a key lock. Inside the chest there are three gold bars.

Background[edit | edit source]

The gang; Daphne Blake, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy Rogers and Velma Dinkley (without Fred Jones in the set) stumbled across a mansion and they heard monsters were haunting it. The gang entered through the greenhouse and avoided the aggravated Flytrap Lily. When Velma tripped over the floorboard in the entrance, she saw a hidden key. The gang realised the key was for a safe in the house which was once/is owned by a wealthy Prospector. The gang chased after the monsters and eventually caught them and unmasked them. The crooks revealed they were attempting to find their hidden key and were "haunting" the mansion until they found it.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The set features various aspects based on Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?
    • The Black Knight comes from the first episode, "What a Night for a Night".
    • The structure is mainly based off the third episode, "Hassle in the Castle". This is the episode the Phantom appears in.
    • The hidden coffin, the kitchen and, the Vampire are adapted from the sixth episode, "A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts". During this episode, Fred was separated from the rest of the gang for some time, which may explain his absence from the set.
    • The colour scheme, Flytrap Lily and greenhouse come from from the 22nd episode, "Haunted House Hang-Up".
