Official description[edit | edit source]

Laval tries to mount a rescue to save the Kings and Li'Ella but Flinx accidentally thaws out Fangars trophy room and they end up having to fight both the Hunters, Scorpions, Spiders and Bats. Fangar gets a first-hand look at Flinx's power and is more intent than ever to capture the boy.

Summary[edit | edit source]

"In the magical world of Chima, Lagravis' capture has left Laval in charge of the lion tribe, but the king thing is not easy for him. He would rather free his father. He wants action and he gets it when the Hunters launch a brutal assault on the lion city. The phoenix come to the rescue, but not before Laval's special friend Li'ella is also captured. What will her father Tormak say?" - Opening monologue

As the lions clean the wreckage of the city following the battle, Laval and the other tribal warriors (excluding the captured Bladvic) meet in the Map Room to plan how to free Lagravis and the others in Sir Fangar's trophy room. Laval suggests using the Grand Archway Canyon to trap the Ice Clan's fortress, allowing a strike team to invade the trophy room and find the trapped animals. Tormak supports the plan, having vowed vengeance upon Sir Fangar for capturing his daughter, and the heroes move out.

As the tribal warriors gear up the Speedorz, Flinx accompanies them. Eris and Laval try to dissuade him from joining the dangerous mission, but the young phoenix explains that Li'ella cared for him like a big sister; the least he can do is help her in her time of need. His passions suddenly cause his wings to ignite, prompting a stunned Eris to admit that Flinx finally seems to have found his "spark".

In the ice fortress, still continuing its relentless advance across Chima, Sir Fangar has trapped Li'ella in his trophy room. The young lioness demands that Fangar get it over with and freeze her, but the undead sabretooth has no intention of making her a trophy - instead, he desires a queen. To Li'ella's dismay, Sir Fangar announces that she is the perfect bride for him, and she is quickly taken away by his minions in "preparation" for the wedding.

At the canyon, the Beaver tribe has built a large, but flimsy bridge across the canyon, disguising it as a natural path to avoid revealing the trap too soon. Worriz offers to create a diversion, but his enthusiasm is dampened when only Gorzan volunteers to operate his vehicle's cannon. Nonetheless, the diversion works perfectly - with Worriz and Gorzan running interference, Sir Fangar and his troops fail to notice the false path until it crumbles under the fortress's weight, allowing the strike team to drive up the back and break into the trophy room.

Flinx uses his flames to melt the ice trapping the captured animals, but Laval realizes too late that the Crawlers are among Fangar's "trophies". Blaming Laval's final gift of CHI for their current troubles, Scorm and Spinlyn attack, but Lagravis, Crominus and Crunket fiercely retaliate. The bemused heroes decide to let their elders handle the Crawlers as Tormak looks for Li'ella in vain. Outside, Worriz and Gorzan confront Mungus, only for the mighty Mammoth warrior to be distracted by a snowball fight with the arriving Rhinos.

With the fortress growing increasingly unstable from Flinx's heat, the tribal warriors and the liberated prisoners make their escape - with the Crawlers falling into the canyon when the trophy room begins to fall apart. However, Flinx moves even deeper into the fortress, where he finds Sir Fangar bemoaning the loss of his "collection". His mood turns drastically when he sees Flinx nearby, but the young phoenix uses his flames to force the hunter back. With Fangar cowering in the heat, Flinx demands to know where Li'ella is, but Tormak and Laval drag him back outside just before the entire fortress collapses on itself.
