Brickipedia:Edit warring

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki
Brickipedia's Policies

This is a proposed policy. We're working on it.

An edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly revert each other's edits, rather than discuss the issue and come to an agreement. Avoid edit warring; it makes editors unnecessarily angry at each other and gets absolutely nothing done. Editors engaging in edit wars may be blocked.

To deal with edit warring, Brickipedia (like Wikipedia) uses a policy called the three-revert rule, or 3RR for short. 3RR says, "Do not make more than three reverts within a 24-hour period." The rule is not intended to be an all-encompassing bright line; it is merely a place to draw the line for an edit war. Like all things, this should be used in conjunction with Use Common Sense. If a vandal has ruined a lot of pages, it is obviously not against the rule to revert their vandalism.
