Green Lantern is a DC Universe superhero first introduced in 1940 as Alan Scott. The character was later revamped during the Silver Age as Hal Jordan, an intergalactic policeman with a power ring fueled by imagination and willpower. Hal was a founding member of the Justice League and the first human member of the Green Lantern Corps, opening the door for Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz, and Jessica Cruz.
