Red2x2.png This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it. There is a new threat in Ninjago, and his name is Ronin. With help from his army of dark samurai, Ronin steals the Ninjas’ memories using an ancient weapon called the Obsidian Glaive. The Ninjas forget how to use their elemental powers, and it is up to the players to help them find their Obsidian weapons, regain their memories and reclaim their powers before Ronin completes his plan and releases an even greater evil on Ninjago.

Plot[edit | edit source]

Taking place shortly after Chen's banishment, the Ninja have relocated to a monastery atop the mountain of Spinjago. Kai recounts the events of the Tournament of Elements to the Ninja though changes the story (including Zane, having the other Ninja constantly praise him, and Jay loosing his pants to Clouse's serpent). Jay protests at the latter, but Sensei Wu interrupts the Ninja, stating that it was time for training.

They face off against Dareth's "students" which turn out to be warriors for a mysterious stranger. They defeat the goons and pursue the Stranger to the top of the mountain where the stranger uses the Obsidian Glaive to remove the Ninja's memories. Upon realizing this, Wu sends them to Kryptarium Prison to speak with Hibiki; the original owner of the Glaive. They find Kryptarium under attack by the Stranger's (who is revealed to be Ronin) samurai. The Ninja fend them off and learn from Hibiki to brew the Tea of Insight, so they depart for the Ed and Edna's Scrap N Junk to pick up Nya. On route they become under attack by Serpentine forces under Ronin's control, though they manage to reach the junkyard unharmed. The Ninja help Ed and Edna build the Mechanical Ninja to protect the junkyard, and they set off for the Toxic Bogs for an Inky Lemonberry, the key ingredient in the Tea of Insight.

Once they brew the tea, the Ninja learn of the location of their Obsidian Weapons and they set off to claim them, As Cole was the first to learn of his, the Ninja first go to the Caves of Despair, only to find that Constrictai have taken over mining operations there. The Ninja manage to sneak in and Cole successfully obtains the Obsidian Scythe.

The Ninja next head to the Fire Temple where Kai obtains the Obsidian Sword. Before they can leave however, they are attacked by Ronin in a large mech, though manage to destroy it. Using its parts, Jay creates jetpacks for the Ninja and they escape out of the volcano unharmed.

At the Glacier Barrens, Zane finds the Obsidian Sais. The Ninja are attacked by an Ice Serpent, who they defeat. Zane suddenly remembers that Ronin was the one that took him to Chen's Island. The Ninja plan to find the Obsidian Nunchucks, but Nindroids attack New Ninjago City, forcing the Ninja to head there instead, much to Jay's displeasure.

After some fighting, the Ninja head to destroy the Nindroids' power source at the Floating Ruins, where the Obsidian Nunchucks are held as well. Jay regains his memories with the Nunchucks, but Ronin suddenly uses a crystal to recharge them. Sensei Wu identifies the crystal as the Lightning Forge, one of the four Elemental Forges. The Ninja then split up to prevent Ronin from gaining the Forges of Fire and Ice. Ronin unfortunately steals the remaining Forges from the Ninja, who look for the Primal Fulcrum, which combines with the Forges to produce great power.

Lloyd rejoins the Ninja and helps them find Misako at the Fangpyre Tomb. Misako agrees to help and reveals that the Fulcrum is in Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Misako then claims that a prophecy on the walls state that seven beings must strike the Fulcrum simultaneously to destroy it. However, the Ninja are restrained by bonds of energy as they do so. Misako reveals that she remembers a betrayal that never happened: a false memory created by Ronin. A furious Lloyd uses his energy to destroy the Obsivian Glaive and undo its effects.

Ronin escapes and heads to Chen's Palace, planning to use the Elemental Forges to free Chen from the Cursed Realm. The Ninja follow him to a pocket dimension between Ninjago and the Cursed Realm, where they ultimately defeat Ronin and destroy the Forges. Ronin escapes on his ship, R.E.X., and the Ninja destroy the Primal Fulcrum, closing the portal to the Cursed Realm. The Obsidian Weapons are lost and destroyed along with the dimension when the Ninja are thrown back into Ninjago. Kai then is amused that Jay has lost his pants in the process.

It is revealed that Kai was telling the entire story and Jay interrupts, insisting that he is not telling the story correctly, while the others laugh.

In a bonus cutscene, Dareth uses the Helmet of Shadows to have the Stone Army serve him, stating that he loves the artifact.
