Proposed Splits lists articles that are proposed to be split into two or more articles.

To propose an article split, put {{Split}} on the top the respective page, then click here and replace Page 1 with the name of the article you want split. Replace Page 2 and Page 3 with the names of the articles that Page 1 should be split into, and add more if necessary. From there, leave a brief explanation as to why the article should be split directly under the header, and then sign (~~~~) under the ;Support section. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so.

  1. We seem to be grouping all the Hobbit stuff with the LOTR things, but they appear to be separate themes. There's a big "HOBBIT" on the boxes, not "The Lord of the Rings"... NovaHawk 00:48, October 10, 2012 (UTC)

Phoenix split into "Phoenix" and "Jean Grey"[edit source]

In a SDCC LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Gameplay Demo, when you go to about 6:15, watch a bit, and when they enter the level, Phoenix is player 2, then later in the level they play as Jean Grey. Even though they are the same person they shouldn't be on the same page. (examples: Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, Peter Parker and Spider-Man, etc)
Also, odd that they showed Phoenix, even only for a few quick seconds, and she wasn't in the character selection board.......thingy
RaceLord talk, Time To Craft Some...Thing.

Support[edit source]

  1. I'm only going off the X-Men movie trilogy (ie, what I've seen), because reading summaries of comic books get way too complicated and I can't understand them. In the movies, it seemed like there were two very distinct personalities fighting for control of the same body (I think Xavier even said something along those lines), and Phoenix's powers were more extreme than Jean's normally. At the moment, I'm seeing this as a Bruce Banner/Hulk situation, so I'm voting for a split for now. NovaHawk 22:43, July 28, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Sure MsDtalk 17:21, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Neutral[edit source]

  1. I'm leaning towards oppose, but I'm neutral because after reading a very confusing Wikipedia article, I have decided that sometimes Jean and Phoenix are one in the same, but at others they are kind of different characters (since Phoenix pretty much takes over her life). Also, Jean hasn't gone by an alias at times, so I'm not sure if I would agree with it being like Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Maybe Tony Stark and Iron-Man though, but now I'm confusing myself. Anyway, at others she has used Phoenix and the green costume even when she wasn't possessed. Additionally, my guess as for why she doesn't appear on the character selection is that Jean can transform into Phoenix similarly to how Hulk can switch to Banner. Just speculation, but it seemed like it was appropriate to bring up. Unsigned comment by Berrybrick (talk • contribs).
Transforming into Phoenix makes sense, but why enter the level as Phoenix? Also read Jean Grey and Phoenix. RaceLord talk, Time To Craft Some...Thing.
I don't know why she enters the level as Phoenix, but I'm not sure how it makes much of a difference? (Also, I'm not interested in reading those pages. Wikipedia was confusing enough for me. I don't need it in more detail.) Berrybrick 04:44, July 28, 2013 (UTC)
You Confused me. RaceLord talk, Time To Craft Some...Thing.
    Sorry. Reworded. :P Berrybrick 04:51, July 28, 2013 (UTC)
no Confused me with the first paragraph. RaceLord talk, Time To Craft Some...Thing.
Did you actually read it? Berrybrick 20:17, July 28, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I'm leaning towards oppose too. Honestly, Jean Grey is Phoenix, but they can have completely different personalities. Jean Grey stopped calling herself Jean Grey once she turned into the Phoenix. In simpler words, she "upgraded" into a more powerful version of herself, but that version can take over her, and turn her into a completely different person. Phoenix (green suit) is different from Dark Phoenix (red suit), so I think having 3 pages, Jean, Phoenix and Dark Phoenix is fine, but I'm still not fully into oppose Bridgetterocks My talk!!! 21:19, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

Oppose[edit source]

  1. Move both into Jean Grey. They are the same person, and don't have enough variants for the Anakin/Vader route. --User:ErkelonJay/sig1 20:16, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

  • Yes, but I'm guessing you haven't either. Anyway, Wikipedia did cite what I am about to say (but I can't be bothered to look it up). Blue Classic Spaceman, split into Blue Classic Spaceman and Benny[edit source]

The following section is preserved as an archive. Please do not modify it. The result was Done years ago

For those of you who don't know, a "Blue Classic Spaceman" will appear in The LEGO Movie as Benny. Benny, however, is a slightly different minifigure with intentional flaws, as you can see here. Aside from that, there are several blue classic spacemen (though maybe not in the movie) but Benny is a separate character paying tribute to them.

I'm not sure if I explained that well, but I'll do my best to respond to any criticisms.... Berrybrick 23:13, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

Edit: We already have a Benny article. But since this one would almost definitely be of higher interest (I used to watch Bob the Builder and I don't even remember that guy) I would still make this new page Benny, and change the old one to Benny (Bob the Builder). Solomon Blaze, split into Solomon Blaze (Ultra Agents) and Solomon Blaze (Galaxy Squad)[edit source]

The following section is preserved as an archive. Please do not modify it. The result was Don't split

I don't think they're the same character, they just have similar names. If you look at this image and the Galaxy Squad Solomon picture, you can see the face details are different. Galaxy Squad is far more futuristic than Ultra Agents, yet the Ultra Agents Solomon Blaze is older. They're could be the same, like the whole Brains thing, but I doubt it. --Knight

OverBorg split into "OverBorg" and "Cyrus Borg"[edit source]

From what I know, the OverBorg is a different character altogether, who is the Overlord possessing the body of Cyrus. I don't think the OverBorg has appeared in the TV series yet, but Cyrus himself has plenty of background and contributions to the plot of the current series that he could have his own article. --ToaMeiko (talk) 19:38, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

  • Split, feels right. Person went under a transformation, like Anakin: Two pages. Sibo2808 (talk) 19:46, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
  • Umm... so confused... keep... I think. This is going solely off the comment above (and I haven't got around to eps 3 and 4 of the new series yet, so I'm way behind and don't want to look at forums). If he's the same guy and just possesed, I'm not seeing a need for it. It's feeling more like a Chancellor Palpatine/Emperor Palpatine case to me moreso than Anakin/Vader. Besides, we have one and only one physical minifigure of the guy, it's not like there are a million variants where it makes sense to keep them separate (please note, I'm typing this very quickly and probably not making too much sense because I really shouldn't be on right now) NovaHawk 07:25, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
    • The OverBorg, from what I know, is the Overlord in Cyrus's (somewhat mutilated) body, from what it appears. I think OverBorg, if it doesn't have its own page, should be included in the Overlord's page, since it's still the Overlord, just in a more human form. Cyrus however, has plenty of his own story. Before the series started, we knew he was paralysed from birth, and that he did a ton of things to build a technological empire in New Ninjago City. He's also had a role in just about every episode he's appeared in, and he hasn't even been possessed/killed/used by the Overlord yet. To be honest, we only know about the OverBorg from sets. It may not even appear in the TV series. While I'm sure it will, that's an example of how little we know about it and how much more we know about Cyrus. --ToaMeiko (talk) 13:32, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Toa Mata/Toa Nuva split into "Toa Mata" and "Toa Nuva"[edit source]

Either rename into Toa Nuva or split, I'm not sure which. Actually, I guess that we need to decide whether we want this to be a subtheme page, or a faction page. Subtheme seems like the obvious choice, but there was some forum which never got proper closure which discussed pages grouping minifigures which are related under a common banner. I don't remember the details. If we go the faction route, the Phantoka and Mistika stuff, plus upcoming sets might confuse and complicate things.

  1. I'd go the subtheme route, myself. Berrybrick (talk) 15:41, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

  1. Subtheme seems kind of weird; I'd have never thought of classifying them that way. I think just keeping it as a faction page is the way to go. BrickfilmNut (talk) 19:36, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
That's how Brickset has always listed them. :P BS01 also keeps the separate, despite the wiki being based heavier on the story (where one page would make more sense than with products, in my opinion). The way I envision it as a faction page is just sort of messy, though I guess it could work. (And I just don't like having the slash in the title, hence the rename option. :P) Berrybrick (talk) 19:57, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Stormtrooper stuff[edit source]

LEGO seems to be being stingy on naming their Stormtrooper variants lately (both Imperial and First Order). These are quotes for the shop descriptions:

So, do we want to have them all under the First Order Stormtrooper and Stormtrooper pages because we don't have an official name from LEGO, or have separate pages for them?

  1. They're a separate distinct variant- it would be like having Scout Troopers and Snowtroopers on the Stormtrooper page. Referring to the naming policy, I don't know if this is really a contradiction as such, but I think it would make things a lot easier to organise if we had separate pages. • Neutral- This one's trickier. While in SW they are distinct variants with different weapons and training, their armour is exactly the same, and as such the minifigure is identical to a standard First Order Stormtrooper except it has a baton. Not sure how to handle this one. NovaHawk 11:44, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
