Arctic Action was a subtheme of LEGO TECHNIC in 1986. It was one of the TECHNIC themes that featured the large TECHNIC minifigures.
The sets mainly involved vehicles and structures built for an arctic environment, although this actually applies only to the sets 8660 Arctic Rescue Unit and 8680 Arctic Rescue Base which featured a snow mobile, a bulldozer and a polar base. The two other sets contained a more or less ordinary helicopter and a buggy, and only the included skis and the white colour scheme pointed to an arctic setting.
