ROOTPAGENAME

Description[edit source]
Template:ROOTPAGENAME gets the root page name of the current or the given page. It is similar to the magic word {{BASEPAGENAME}}, but returns the root of the page hierarchy instead of the parent.
This template can be substituted.
Usage[edit source]
- {{ROOTPAGENAME}} → Template:ROOTPAGENAME
- {{ROOTPAGENAME|}} → ROOTPAGENAME
- {{ROOTPAGENAME|Admin Tools Wiki:Noticeboard/Archive1}} → Admin Tools Wiki:Noticeboard/Archive1
- In namespaces with subpages disabled it will return the full page name
- {{ROOTPAGENAME|List of 28 Days/Weeks Later characters}} → List of 28 Days/Weeks Later characters
