Hi everyone,

It comes with great excitement to say that Brickipedia has been officially added to the LEGO Ambassador Network for 2015. To those of you unfamiliar with this network (hereinafter "LAN"), it is a program started by the LEGO Group a decade ago to engage significant fan communities with the worldwide community of fans—kids and adults alike. Members of LAN share their knowledge and building expertise with fans and the LEGO Group to strengthen and bond the community. If you would like to know more, see BrickWiki's article about Ambassadors.

LEGO is restructuring the LEGO Ambassador Program next year and renaming it to the LEGO Ambassador Network. LAN members will now be able to interact more with the LEGO Group so that LEGO will be able to better-understand and form a stronger relationship with the fan community. You can read more about the changes on the CEE Team Blog.

Through an agreement among administrators here at Brickipedia, it has been chosen that I will be Brickipedia's ambassador for 2015, with Berrybrick as an extra contact person for LEGO if I need to leave my position during the year. It will be a privilege to represent the Brickipedia community in the LAN forum, and I will be sure to share what you all have to say with the other LAN members and what the LAN members have to say with you all.

Come 2015, more information about LAN will become available at LEGO's About Us page, however the section about LEGO Ambassadors is currently out of date.

If you have any questions or comments about LAN, leave them below.

I don't particularly see the need for one since it's more of an announcement for our community, not our visitors. You can make one if you feel its necessary.

Will being part of this affect our ability to make pages based off leaked information?

This doesn't change our policies whatsoever.

As stated in the blog, what the network is is a group of LUGs and fan communities that communicate with the LEGO Group to establish a strong relationship between TLG and its fans. By this, absolutely nothing happens. Nobody here is affected until the network launches and we begin interacting. What this interaction will be can't be determined; it's up to what the network comes up with in their discussions.
