Part 1 – Introduction

In a distant past which nobody remembers was a universe with great planets. The people who were supposed to live in the universe were granted three islands to share. The first people to put their feets on these islands were the brothers Ekimu Nui and Makuta Nai. These islands were like paradise, but when time grew, they felt alone and uncomfortable. They soon created elemental masks with elemental power, and granted each a mask a body of its own. The people were granted a village for their element. These villagers were called the Matoran.

Information on the run

  • The islands have these names: Mata Nui (Unity), Okoto Nui (Duty) and Metru Nui (Destiny); which makes up The Three Virtues.
  • All the islands together are named Ekimu Nui.
  • I included the Matoran because. Just because.
  • The reason Makuta is Makuta Nai is because it then could resemble Ekimu Nui.
  • The islands are shaped like The Three Virtues, But the symbol of Destiny is placed the other direction to get some variation.
  • The Masters will be called Toa Mata/Nuva etc.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

I can't think of too much to comment on as it stands. I like the idea of a "Library of Time" depending on the execution. The only change I'd recommend to this thing at all so far is that perhaps you should switch Duty and Destiny between Okoto and Metru Nui? I mean, Okoto is kind of like BIONICLE's destiny, since it's how it came to be through the reboot, and a "brain" like Metru Nui seems more duty-centric, though the distinction isn't all too strong, I guess. :P

What story are you planning for these islands? What's the "chronicle"? :P For Gen 1 it was all about the life of one giant being, Mata Nui, and the reunification of worlds. For Gen 2, it's... less clear right now, I guess, but still a bit of a chronicle about heroes. How about yours? Since the islands are references to the three virtues, perhaps it could be a chronicle on the difficulty of uniting one's values/ideals?

You do your duty on Okoto Nui as it's the place you work, and Metru Nui is the place you read about and find out your destiny (Temple of Toa). :-P

The story will probably be about our heroes saving the people on Okoto Nui, and then to awaken Ekimu Nui as Makuta Nai was never really sent to an eternal sleep - and no I will not let a big face under the water destroy the islands. xD
