6972 Polaris-I Space Lab is a Classic Space set released in 1987. It contains a base, two small scouting vehicles, a spacecraft and three blue astronauts.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- This is one of the last sets of Classic Space and its release coincided with the introduction of Futuron. It already has the Futuron colorscheme but still includes minifigures with old uniforms and visorless helmets
- The base is actually a launching site for the included small spacecraft that is a capsule with rocket engines. The capsule is stored in the base's tower structure. Below are several computer terminals.
- Another launchpad with a rocket-propelled capsule was released in the same year, 6953 Cosmic Laser Launcher from Futuron.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- This is the only set in which Part:4448 is trans blue.
- This is one of two sets in which Part:2419 is trans red.
