8990 Fero and Skirmix is a BIONICLE set released in 2009. It contains a Bone Hunter named Fero, and his Rock Steed, Skirmix.

This was a Wal-Mart exclusive set in the USA.
In Summer 2009 this set was repackaged to promote the new movie BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn.^[1]
Despite not being originally allied with the Skrall, Fero wears the same helmet as them.

The fierce hunter Fero rides across the desert sands on his rock steed Skirmix, searching for Glatorian to capture and bring back to the arena in Roxtus. Anyone who manages to avoid Fero's spiked Thornax launcher must deal with Skirmix's savage jaws and stinger tail! Includes one Life Counter for the new BIONICLE battle game.

Both figures feature fully articulated limbs!
Includes life counter for action figure game!
Skirmix measures over 10 inches (25cm) tall!
