Background[edit | edit source]
Mr. Whickles kidnapped Professor Hyde White when he was on his way delivering the Black Knight costume to the museum. Mr. Whickles tied up the professor and hid him in a artifact at the museum. Kidnapping the Professor enabled him and his henchmen continue their scheme, swapping the museum's priceless artworks with fakes. When the gang (Daphne Blake, Fred Jones, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy Rogers and Velma Dinkley) found the Black Knight costume and returned it to the museum, Mr. Whickles made up a legend of The Black Knight who haunts the world at moonlight, to keep the gang away. The gang go to the museum at night anyway as they want to rescue the Professor, and Velma convinced them that the Professor is in the museum. To stop their snooping and to scare the gang away Mr. Whickles dresses up as the Black Knight, and chases them around. In the chase Mr. Whickles trips over and is unable to move, this is when the gang unmask him. The police come the following morning and arrest Mr. Whickles and his henchmen.
In 75904 Mystery Mansion Mr. Whickles has appeared to have broken out of prison and is teaming up with the Phantom and Vampire. Mr. Whickles is once again taking on the mantle of the Black Knight.
