The Netherlands National Player is a minifigure released in 1998.

This minifigure has a brown standard male hairpiece, a yellow head with black printing for two dot eyes, eyebrows and a smile, an orange torso piece with yellow hands, and a plain white leg piece.

The Netherlands national football team is a team of soccer/football players selected to play for their nation. The Dutch hold the record for playing the most World Cup finals without ever winning the title. In the 1998 World Cup, the Netherlands defeated Argentina in the quarter finals, but lost to Brazil in the semi-finals in a penalty shootout, and were also unable to win the third-place playoff against Croatia.
