Aster the death of his parents, [[Rubeus Hagrid]] rescued Harry from the ruins of his house, and took him to [[Professor Dumbledore]], who left the baby to live with his closest family, [[Vernon Dursley]], [[Petunia Dursley]], and [[Dudley Dursley]], his uncle, aunt, and cousin. <br>
Shortly before his eleventh birthday, a letter arrived for Harry. Upon seeing it, Uncle Vernon panicked, and burnt it before Harry could read it. Over the next few days, more letters arrived, until, eventually, hundreds shot down the chimney. After this, Vernon fled the house, bringing the whole family to a hut on a small island in the ocean. <br>
Immediately after midnight, Hagrid arrived, bring Harry a birthday cake and a final letter. The letter revealed that Harry had been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The next morning, Hagrid and Harry left for London to get Harry's school supplies.
