Template:Part/new/doc

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki

Please note: While this template should be used for any further part articles, it is still in a testing phase. If you encounter any problems, please contact its developer.

Usage[edit source]

Copy and paste the following code into an article. Fill in the information next to the "=" sign so that it can be displayed on the article. Only fill in the information you know about, empty fields will not be displayed. Below is an example of the template.

{{Part/new
|DesignID =
|Name =
|Image =
|Image1=
|EID1 =
|CID1 =
|Year =
|Price =
}}

Design ID[edit source]

The Design ID is the number that specifies a part's shape (and is mostly imprinted on its bottom side), while the Element ID also specifies its colour (and is found on current LEGO building instructions).

EID/CID[edit source]

If a part has more than one Element ID, further fields can be added. The infobox currently supports up to 50 different Element IDs, simply add more fields to the infobox. Likewise, up to 26 corresponding Image and CID (Colour ID) fields are supported. An example of the parameters used for a part with three Element IDs would be:

{{Part/new
|DesignID =
|Name =
|Image =
|Image1=
|EID1 =
|CID1 =
|Image2 =
|EID2 =
|CID2 =
|Image3 =
|EID3 =
|CID3 =
|Year =
|Price =
}}
