3177 Small Car was released in December 2009 / January 2010 as part of the City transportation sub-theme. The small car very much resembles a Smart Fortwo and it is very similar to a white car in 7939 Cargo Train. The set also includes a briefcase that fits in a compartment in the trunk.

The Minifigure has a short, tousled hairpiece, a face very similar to the face from the 7246 Mini Digger, a white and blue sweatshirt and green trousers, plus a suitcase accessory.

- This car can be found in blue and white in the set 7939 Cargo Train.
- In The LEGO Movie, Emmet drives this car with some minor modifications such as a single-piece front bumper (part 93273), mirrors, and a radio on the dashboard.
