This page is where you can request the Patroller right. Any autoconfirmed user can request this right, however it will only be given to those that create new mainspace article pages on a regular basis. User are also permitted to nominate another user for this right.

What is patroller? Users with the Patroller right have all of their edits automatically marked as patrolled, as well as the ability to mark others edits as patrolled, move files and suppress redirects. This allows the administrators and members of the counter-vandalism unit to have an easier time making sure that new pages are not spam or vandalism. Users with patroller rights can join the New Pages Patrol. It is also a prerequisite for joining the completeness check group. How to request To start a Request for Patroller, enter your username in the "Add new request/nomination" box below, and click enter. It is automatically created with the required format, so all that you need to do is add your username and add a blurb about why you are requesting. Once you have set it up, please come back to this page and add {{RfAT|<Your username>}} under the line below. After a three day voting period in which anyone may vote, any admin can review your request and either approve () or reject () it. If your request is approved, you'll be instantly given patroller status.
