Hey guys, Brikkyy13 here. I can't get into my account :/ I've tried a few different devices and clearing cookies and the same thing happens each time. I'll put in the username and password correctly (if I don't it'll give an incorrect details error) then redirect me back to where I was, but I'll be logged out again. Anything I can do on my end to fix it? Thanks. 182.239.180.24 08:13, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Yep, most of us who didn't have a ShoutWiki account beforehand are having this problem- Berrybrick, Late and myself have exactly the same issue. Samantha did manage to get her account fixed by clearing cookies, so it does work for some people. Hopefully it'll get sorted out soon NovaHawk (test 3) (talk) 08:24, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- I have a pair of emails from Lcawte and ShoutWiki support. I have pretty much no time at the moment, but I'll copy them here after work. Things don't look too promising. 72.230.198.60 11:37, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- And here they are. From Lcawte:
- When typing "brickimedia" into the search box, I assume you cleared all of those? If you have another browser installed, can you try logging in with that, and if that fails, try resetting your password?
I can't reproduce this at the moment, I'm not sure I had a local account with a different username. I did have a problem initially which I fixed by clearing my cookies, but these kind of issues are always hard to fix especially when you can't reproduce them.

- And from the support staff:
- Have you tried resetting your password? Please try that if you haven't already and let me know how it went.
- So maybe those didn't need to be copied, but I made a promise and had to keep it. :P None of this worked for me personally, so I am going to go ahead and create another account (SuperFishOil, like on some other websites). For the time being, I would suggest that everyone else try what the emails layout and if that doesn't work either create a new account, email Shoutwiki yourself, or both. --Berry
- I'd rather you didn't create a new account... it doesn't help us debug this issue, especially since none of us have accounts which are potentially effected. --Lewis Cawte (talk) 21:00, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Alternatively, and bear with me because this is a horrible idea but needs must, if someone has an alternative account or something that is affected, email me the account details so we can use it to debug. --Lewis Cawte (talk) 21:03, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- I tried deleting my cookies again and got in. I'm not sure if it was after being able to successfully login via an alternate account (sorry about that by the way) or because I realized that searching for Brickimedia cookies in Firefox (as you mentioned in the email) wasn't quite the same thing as deleting everything in the Brickipedia/media folders, and so I went ahead and did it that way. The latter is probably more likely because Nova is still in his test account and deleting cookies got Sam in, but as far as I know it could be either. :P Either way, I'm good. :) Thanks. Berrybrick (talk) 22:02, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Well I've been playing around your database on the backend side. I'm fairly sure I know what the issue is, but obviously since you've been playing with cookies again, I can't be sure. The others still having problems really need to contact me - lcawte@shoutwiki.com so I can work out if it's my fix or a cookie issue. --Lewis Cawte (talk) 22:10, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry if I messed things up. :/ Thanks again though. Berrybrick (talk) 22:16, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

- @NovaHawk (test 3): - So, to test my theory... clear your cookies for Brickimedia. You should be able to log in to your (test 2) account, but not your main account. --Lewis Cawte (talk) 23:18, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Lcawte: - Looks like whatever you did worked :) I'l just try my main account now NovaHawk (test 2) (talk) 00:00, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, main account still doesn't work :) NovaHawk (test 2) (talk) 00:03, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Perfect, so now we know how to solve this problem, we'll roll out a fix for everyone today. --Lewis Cawte (talk) 06:17, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- @NovaHawk (test 3): This should be now fixed and everyone who had an account prior to the move should be able to log in as usual. Huge kudos to legoktm for helping out with the fix! If you're still having issues with the login process, please let us know ASAP either here or via email (support@shoutwiki.com). --Jack Phoenix (Contact) 18:33, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Well it's worked for me, logged in with no issues. Thanks very much to everyone involved in fixing this! :) {{SUBST:#ifexist:User:NovaHawk/sig|{{SUBST:nosubst|User:NovaHawk/sig}}|NovaHawk}} 23:31, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
