Rename to Upcoming minifigure variant?[edit source]
Other future/upcoming template use the upcoming ..... name, instead of future, which is slightly confusing (I spent 30 minutes trying to find the name of the template!). Not sure how to rename a template, but seems like a good idea to me. --LK901 14:44, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- I always found this kind of weird. I've never experimented with moving templates before, but if redirects work as I'd expect they would, then I think it's worth renaming it to match its content. BrickfilmNut (talk) 15:24, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Not quite sure what you mean- all our other templates use "future". But I agree upcoming is a better name. Renaming a template is just like everything else, just hit rename and that's all you really need to do, it doesn't matter if articles use the old template names, they'll still work fine if the redirect's in place. - Thats weird. I always used 'Upcoming', not future. I think it should be moved, all the same. --LK901 17:16, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, all the categories start with "Upcoming" while all the templates start with "Future", which is the main thing that always caused confusion for me. Anyway, does that mean we have consensus on renaming the template, and should this be extended to all of the "Future" templates? BrickfilmNut (talk) 17:32, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe that is what confused me. Should this be moved to the forums so that we can have a vote? --LK901 18:37, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
