The Headless Horseman is a Scooby-Doo minifigure released in 2015.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Headless Horseman wears a pumpkin mask, it has a orange pulp and green stem. The pumpkin has a grinning, jagged face carved into it. Once the mask is removed, a black head displaying Elkwood's face is revealed. Elkwood has pale skin, brown sideburns, light blue goggles, black eyes and white pupils. Elkwood's mouth is stern, and he has a plump cheek on each side. Elwood wears a long purple cape. Part of the cape continues on to his blue torso. The cape is kept together with a purple button. His coat has a belt and zip, outlined in black. Elkwood has blue arms and legs and white hands.

Elkwood Krane spreads a legend that the Headless Horseman is haunting Sleepy Hollow. In reality it's just him in a Headless Horsemen costume on his white horse running around. He runs around his aunt's horse to scare her which he is successful in. Cousin Elkwood tells his Aunt Gertrude that the Headless Horsemen is out to get her diamond necklace (a trophy in the set). She gives it to him trusting he will keep it safe and he drives off. He pretends he crashes the car and changes into his Headless Horsemen costume and rides off on his horse. He leaves Elkwood's clothes in the car and the pumpkin head in the car. After finding several clues in the crashed car the gang (Daphne Blake, Fred Jones, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley and their temporarily member Scooby-Dum) find Elkwood's hideout. They discover his plane and Scooby-Doo and Shaggy get stuck in the plane. Elkwood once again wears his Headless Horseman and flies the plane, chasing him around it. The plane breaks into pieces and Scooby-Dum rescues Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the Headless Horsemen in a net. The sheriff then comes and arrests Elkwood.

As the CEO of Apex International Shoes, Elwood Crane was a well-respected member of the local community. His company however, soon went bankrupt and, to save face, he dressed as the Headless Horseman to steal the priceless Crane Family Diamond and escape the country. Luckily, Mystery Inc. found him first and put the brakes on his travel plans!
