7313 Red Planet Protector is a Life on Mars set released in 2001. It contains the Red Planet Protector, a giant Martian mech with two laser cannons, and Centauri.

- This set can be connected to the sand blue port in 7317 Aero Tube Hangar.
- In LEGO Racers 2 the Mars boss character (Rigel) seems to be driving a slightly modified version this vehicle but in the set it is Centauri operating the vehicle. This could mean more Martians have this vehicle than them.
- Part:30535 comes in 3 sets.
- This is the only set in which Part:33089 is Old Dark Gray.
- Part:3298px5 comes in 3 sets.
- Part:4150ps1 comes in 3 sets.
- This is the only set in which Part:6153 is Sand Blue.
- The box depicts a piece of gold foil, however, it is just for decoration of the box, and is not included.
