5782 LEGO BIONICLE: Tales of the Tohunga, later renamed LEGO BIONICLE: Quest for the Toa, was a video game released exclusively on the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It was published and developed by LEGO Media. The plot takes place before the Mata Nui Online Game, with Takua helping the villages fend off Rahi and rescuing the Turaga.
Plot[edit | edit source]
The plot is set before the Toa Mata arrived on Mata-Nui.
The game chronicles the adventures of Takua, during the time before the Toa Mata arrived. Unfortunately, the Turaga had been kidnapped by the islands different Rahi. Takua sets out to rescue the Tuaraga and find the Hidden Toa Stones on the island, so he can summon the Toa Mata to the island. After freeing the Turaga and finding the Toa Stones of each village of the island; Onu-Koro, Ga-Koro, Po-Koro, Le-Koro, Ko-Koro, and Ta-Koro, Takua accidently catapults himself back to the beaches of Mata-Nui, where the game began.
The plot in this game is actually the only canonical one of all the other BIONICLE games. This game could be considered the prelude to the two popular BIONICLE online games, the Mata Nui Online Game and Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle.

Title Controversy[edit | edit source]
The game was first called LEGO BIONICLE. After it being released and this name causing confusion between all the other LEGO BIONICLE merchandises, it was subtitled "Tales of Tohunga". The word Tohunga was what Matoran were called at the release of the game, before they're name was changed due to legal issues. Since these legal issues would apply to the game, the name of the game was changed to LEGO BIONICLE "Quest for the Toa" by LEGO.
Release[edit | edit source]
The video game, LEGO BIONICLE was first released on October 1 2001 exclusively for the Game Boy Advance. It was rated Everyone 6+ by the ESRB.
