Batman is a DC Universe superhero first introduced in 1939. He is billionaire Bruce Wayne who trained his body and mind to fight crime after he witnessed the murder of his parents as a boy. Originally intending to forgo alone, Batman has been a core member of the Justice League and mentored a myriad of other heroes, not the least of which are the Robins.
