Banning policy (if any)[edit source]

This section is resolved, but preserved for record-keeping purposes. Please do not edit this area.
This seems simple to me; Banning is used for continued offenses where the user has been amply warned. I guess any real issues would be in length? I would say it would be easiest to leave that to the mod's discretion, but maybe another use or two could review the chat logs and approve the ban length? That's probably too much bureaucracy though. :D Berrybrick (talk) 23:58, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

  • Ban if they've been warned. Unban when a mod thinks its good. Not necessarily the same mod. CJC95 (talk) 00:06, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
  • I sort of think unless the banned user is...good at reminding people they are banned, it will be forgotten and never get undone. Berrybrick (talk) 02:39, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
  • When banned, if they try to access chat they'll be alerted that they're banned. If they think its time for them to be unbanned, they'll be prompted to appeal the ban at BP:CBA. --ToaMeiko (talk) 04:42, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
  • That sounds fine then. I could continue to be cynical, but that gets old. Berrybrick (talk) 05:58, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

"Swear" words and what words to disallow (if any)[edit source]

This section is resolved, but preserved for record-keeping purposes. Please do not edit this area.
We can keep our basic chat guidelines I think. As for swearing, anything inappropriate for the situation should be warned for and further action taken if it persists. We don't have too much of an issue with inappropriate discussion here, so I don't think we should focus too much attention on reforming our chat guidelines. --ToaMeiko (talk) 04:03, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I think what we have now is fine, but I'll reconsider if anyone does have any issues. Berrybrick (talk) 23:58, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Yep, I'm fine with keeping it as is NovaHawk 00:07, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
The current system works - its flexible enough. CJC95 (talk) 00:08, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree, the current system is good and subjective, which is how they should be. --Knight
I don't see any issues with our current policy regarding inappropriate language. SKP4472 (Admin) 17:20, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

There is an endless list of offensive words and listing them won't help anything. The guidelines are fine as they are. - BF2
