As most of you know, we have articles for each significant City minifigures (Police, Fire, Coast Guard, etc.). The articles are named "City Police Officer #" and such. Would it be a good idea to merge them all into one article, sorted by year? Maybe the title "City Police Officer (2009)" or something would work? It would definitely make things easier to navigate. I mean, they're all generic minifigures. The Police Detectives and Fire Chiefs can have their own articles. Edward Nigma (talk) 22:37, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Edit: Also, at least having them organised in respective articles and having the original articles still exist would also be idea: "City Police Officer/2009" or something with a MinifigureGallery template organising them all, having links to their respective article. I as the one who originally created all those disparate pages, and I would definitely support merging them in some way. -Cligra

Boba and I (and maybe someone else) discussed this in another forum somewhere which I don't remember getting much attention. Basically, the resolution was to have articles such as Policeman (City), Policeman (Town), and Policeman (World City) with Policeman as a disambiguation page. Then there would be separate (in the sense of separate from the above) pages for Elite Policeman, Forest Policeman, and any other notable variants I may not be thinking of. Support this. It would make the eventual goal of getting all minifigures onto the site in some way much more achievable. -Cligra

I agree as well. I think the appropriate name for the City and World City officers are "Police Officer", not "Policeman" (Town cops are most likely called "Policeman" though). I might also have to start adding and removing images on the Fireman page. Which should only have the Town variants. Edward Nigma (talk) 13:41, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
