Brickipedia's user rights request is the page where users can be nominated for special rights, including becoming a patroller, administrator, or functionary. A full list of each of the functions a user right has access to can be found at Special:ListGroupRights.

To prevent excessive nominations, there is an edit and time requirement to be nominated for each right. If a user requests rights but does not meet these requirements, the nomination will be considered invalid. If a user has more than one account, the edits on the other account(s) do not count towards their edit count.

User Group Edits Required for Nomination Time on Brickipedia Required for Nomination
Functionary - 1 year as administrator
Administrator 500 content namespace edits 3 months
Patroller 250 10 Days

To be eligible to vote in a request for rights, you must have made at least 50 mainspace edits to this wiki.

There is an archive here for requests.

Patroller requests[edit]

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, below any existing requests.

===replace this with your username - Patroller===
{{Rfr/1|replace this with your username}}
Replace this with a brief blurb about why you are requesting the right here. ~~~~
===Verdict===

Patroller rights are judged by an administrator, who will either mark the request with {{done}} or {{not done}}.

If a user has requested this right before, add (2) to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when making a further request.

Functionary and Administrator requests[edit]

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, below any existing requests.

===replace this with your username - user right you are requesting===
{{Rfr/1|replace this with your username}}
Replace this with a brief blurb about why you are requesting the right here. ~~~~
===Support===

===Oppose===

===Comments===

Functionary and administrator requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. These requests will last for two weeks, or can be closed after 5 days if there is unanimous support.

If a user has requested a right before, add (2) to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when making further requests.

ToaMeiko - Bureaucrat/Administrator[edit]

I haven't been extremely active in the editing aspect but do check back frequently on the community and monitor some vandalism and spam despite not being able to do much about it. I resigned my sysop and bureaucrat rights voluntarily when I went mostly inactive but since we don't have an active bureaucrat anymore I'd take up that responsibility again. I'm active in the Discord channel where most of our community lives these days so if anything is ever needed I'm readily available. --ToaMeiko (talk) 17:29, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Support[edit]

Oppose[edit]

  • Since we just elected a new administrator,1 and the bureaucrat role is merged with administrator here, there is no reason to give rights to a user that isn't actively contributing here. This calendar year for which we are almost halfway through, the user has four undo edits to the mainspace for off-topic/incorrect info, edits to request deletion to three redirects and speedy tagged one spam article. The Discord channel already contains a number of users who continue to hold admin rights on this site and can often be asked to appear on request. --Lewis Cawte 22:40, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
